PROTEST ON THURSDAY 22ND APRIL – 3-4PM – STOP CENTENE’S TAKE OVER of GP PRACTICES
outside the Headquarters of Operose, the subsidiary of US health corporation Centene, that has now
taken over the running of 49 surgeries in London.
PHYSICALLY-DISTANCED MASKED PROTEST with MPs Jeremy Corbyn MP and Apsana Begum MP
This take over is already leading to cuts in GPs, who are being replaced by pharmacists and GP assistants in order for the company to make profits. Centene has an appalling record of health care in the USA with several law suits being carried out against them. Shockingly, the CEO of Operose has been appointed on a full time advisory post to the Department of Health and Social Care. The main demand of the campaign is for an NHS that is publicly owned, publicly run, free at the point of delivery and that meets all our physical and mental health needs.
Time: Thursday 22nd April, 3-4pm
Location: Operose HQ, 77 New Cavendish Street, Marylebone, London W1W 6XB
COVID-19 precaution: we are encouraging people to walk or cycle to this protest if possible.
